Burning Geometry

These statement earrings are crafted in sterling silver and copper. Utilizing the Japanese Hido technique, the copper is treated to create the durable red patina you see here. I wanted these earrings to evoke feelings of hot and cold. Hot from the burning, rich red tones on the copper. And cold in the industrial like geometrical design crafted in sterling silver. I attached the earring components with solder, rivets and finished the silver surfaces with a rough brushed satin finish.
